The Lamar County sheriffs office made the following arrests:
Christina Allee Vann, 20, Marietta, disorderly conduct and DUI alcohol;
Charles Bernard Williams IV, no residence given, 25, disorderly conduct;
Christopher James White, 34, Stockbridge, failure to appear;
Christy Laine Watts, 19, Forsyth, serving time;
Earl Lewin Coffey, 47, Barnesville, battery and obstruction of an officer;
Zanarey J. McDowell, 22, Griffin, theft by taking;
Joshua James Caraway, 27, Barnesville, DUI alcohol, no insurance and speeding;
Tisha Lavonda Britton, 17, Barnesville, simple battery;
Shekia Diane Britton, 41, Barnesville, simple battery;
Alan Edward Brannon, 17, Griffin, financial transaction card forgery;
Timothy Charles Colwell, 19, no residence given, driving without a license;
April Smith, 25, Griffin, failure to appear in probate court;
Levi Chance Strickland, 18, Milner, cruelty to children;
Steve Barkley, 45, Barnesville, criminal trespass;
Arron Patrick Dearbaugh, 27, Indianapolis, Ind., parole or probation violation;
Casper Denzil Jenkins, 24, Griffin, parole or probation violation.
Deputies answered 154 complaint calls, responded to 10 traffic accidents and served 18 warrants. Lamar County E-911 received 75 emergency calls, dispatching deputies to 28, Barnesville police to 21, Lamar County fire and rescue to 18 and EMS to 29.
Barnesville Police Report:
Between Friday, April 25, and Friday, May 2, the Barnesville police department made no arrests.
Officers answered 107 calls for service, including eight accidents, nine alarms, two EMS assists, 31 building security checks, five crowd control, two damage to property, four disturbances, one dog complaint, six domestics, five escorts, two fights, two loud music, six miscellaneous, one missing person, one shoplifting, 14 suspicious persons/vehicles, one theft, one traffic control, two welfare checks and four 911 hang-ups. They issued 25 citations including one improper tag, one no license on person, 21 speeding, one violation of license restrictions and one window tint violation.
GPS Report:
Georgia State Patrol post 44 in Forsyth investigated three traffic crashes in Lamar County during April. The accidents resulted in three injuries and no deaths.
Troopers issued 31 traffic citations in the county during the month, including 23 speeding and two seat belt violations. They issued 19 warnings.
Magistrate Court:
Between Friday, April 25, and Thursday, May 1, the magistrate court performed one wedding, issued 20 criminal warrants; filed one dispossessory, two garnishments, three pre-warrant applications and seven civil suits; and held three dispossessory, two pre-warrant, three civil suit and 18 first appearance/bond hearings.
