Secretary of State Karen Handel was the keynote speaker tonight at the Barnesville Civic Center as the Leadership Lamar Class of 2009 was inducted. Handel was introduced by county commissioner Nancy Thrash.

Great idea! I would certainly be interested in the context of what Leadership Lamar entails such that we can all understand why we want to celebrate and call this a newsworthy event.
