Wow! the caucasian cop that is accused of being a racist helps the crippled african american Professor down the steps while muslim Obammy gallops out in front to get his face all in the cameras! This picture says it all! This President dont care about !
Obama cares more about you than Bush ever did or ever will.
It amuses me, how people make comments about blacks and how they should get over slavery and the harsh treatment they have received. How can they when you get on here daily and spew your hate-filled ignorant comments. People like you keep the deep wound of racism alive. If it was not in the forefront of your minds, maybe blacks and other people of color would not focus on it so much.
Is racism real and kicking in America, better yet, the World? Yes! Can racism be blamed for every incident that involves blacks and whites? NO! Do people have the right to claim an incident as being racially inspired? Yes! Does that make it true? NO! Should we bash people for stating what they believe? NO! We should all practice tolerance. Tolerance for those of other races as well as tolerance for those of our own race! Start with yourselves!
When I heard Obama comment on this situation, I was like uh-oh. Even if he felt the police "acted stupidly" he should not have said anything. And for the record he said they "acted stupidly" not that they were stupid. Intelligent/decent people can act stupidlly without being stupid...Mr. Obama will just have to learn that just because the press questions him on the goings-ons of the world, it does not mean he has to comment. A simple, "I don't have all the details to comment," would have sufficed.
And yes, Sgt. Crowley must be one heck of a guy to show up at that meeting. And I salute him for it. It always pays to be the bigger person in every situation. I salute Obama as well, for recognizing his mistake and attempting to rectify it.
The only one that made it racist was Gates. And yes racism is alive and well because Afro-Americans continue to throw it in our face every chance they get. That is always the excuse and it has become old. I feel that when the black community stops using the race card as a crutch, them maybe the world will become more tolerant. I as a Caucasian am sick of it. Sick of Al Sharpton and J. Jackson. Everything that can possibly be twisted is....so who wont let it die? White people need to stand up and stop taking all of this shit for fear of being called racist! They all think we are racist anyway and still blame us for the ancestors being slaves.....GET OVER IT !

I think the Proffesor acted stupidly! not the cop! his job was to identify the proffesor which he was trying to do. the proffessors job was to identify himself, which he didnt do.
THIS PICTURE IS SAYING ALOT: OBAMA IS OUT FRONT FOR CHANGE AND THE WHITE GUY IS WORKING FOR A CHANGE!! YOU-GUYS ARE STILL HATERS-JUST ACCEPT THE FACT! YOU HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT WHEITHER YOU VOTED FOR HIM ARE NOT! GET USED TO IT WHITE SOUTHERNERS-A BLACK MAN IS RUNNING THINGS FOR ATLEAST THE NEXT 4YRS!
OK, it's a stupid photo. I don't think it necessarily says a whole lot. What does say a lot is the fact that Sgt. James Crowley, the arresting officer, once gave CPR to Reggie Lewis of the Boston Celtics (yes, you know where I'm going--he was black). Unfortunately, the young star died anyway. The only reason Sgt. Crowley arrested Prof. Gates was because of his behavior.
All I can say is that Sgt.Crowley must be one upstanding guy. I would have refused to go for that beer and told them both, Obama and gates, to kiss it where the sun dont shine. How can you be put down and called stupid by your own president then go there and listen to the BS. Just dont understand!
I'm certain that most white people could care less that Obama is black, its his policies that has people pissed! I wish the Republicans would have ran a black candidate as well so people would focus on the issues and quit pulling the race card.
I agree; the election showed that America is not afraid to elect a black President (or, as many keep pointing out, a biracial President). If Condi had run, I would have voted for her--gasp!!!--a woman AND an African-American. Imagine that, and me a conservative...
While it is true that nearly 73% of registered African-American voters recognize themselves as Democrats, some 4% identify themselves as Republicans. It is not unheard of.
A few famous republican African-Americans are/were:
- Rod Paige, former Secretary of Education
- Colin Powell, former United States Secretary of State
- Condoleezza Rice, United States Secretary of State, former National Security Advisor
- Clarence Thomas, associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, former Equal Employment Opportunity Commission chairman
- Angela McGlowan, Republican political analyst for Fox News Network
- Ken Hamblin, Denver Post columnist
- Karl Malone, basketball player, two-time Olympic gold medalist
- Lynn Swann, football player, Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate
- Jimmie Walker, actor, comedian
- Herman Cain, President of Godfather's Pizza
- T.D Jakes, televangelist
- Don King, boxing promoter
- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., pastor and civil rights leader
I dont care that he is president or the fact that he is half black. Its all his BS policies he is trying to push thru. Health care reform is a joke. All hose 65 and older better be prepared to just die unless his panel decides you have some worth in society...that is if you need medical care.
Crowley arrested Gates because he was a Ivy leaguer not because he was black or nothing else. He already seen what one Harvard grad is doing to the country so they aint no sense having two loose screws. The beer deal was only done so the first grad could attempt to undo his screwup. Over educated under civilized.
Dr. Gates with his egotistical attitude got in the face of the man (a police officer). When you do that you go to jail no matter who you are. I don’t believe it was a racial thing with the police officer but that does not excuse his behavior where he trumped up charges to get the upper hand and misusing his authority to incarcerate a citizen. A person should have a right to make a fool out of himself on his own property without being hauled of to jail.
"A person should have a right to make a fool out of himself on his own property without being hauled of to jail."
there has to be certain lines that cannot be crossed. You can make a fool of yourself on your own property but to go as far as the professor did is crossing that line.
Believe it, although I prefer to call it abuse of authority. It happened to me by Lamar/Barnesville law enforcement officers, who did not know me nor did I act ugly. Fearing for my Black life, I chose to leave Georgia, rather than deal with ignorance.
It's folks like you that Lamar county need the most. When you leave, it doesn't change anything and allows the problem to continue. When educated Black folks leave the county because of the bias nature of the local culture the status quoe is never allowed to move beyond the present Dilemma.

Only a fool would think a millisecond snapshot of millions of hours of life accurately represents someone's mindset on handicapped people.
