Sheriff’s report

Between Friday, July 31, and Thursday, Aug. 6, the Lamar County sheriff's office made 13 arrests:
Clifton Danyarn Henley, 29, Barnesville, giving false name to police;
Michael Jess Fallin, 27, Molena, for Pike County;
Eric Shonte Hamm, 30, Barnesville, DUI, possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended license, speeding, drugs not in original container, open container and VGCSA;
William Ellis Crawford Jr., 47, Griffin, criminal trespass;
Curtis O’Neal, 44, Barnesville, failure to appear in municipal court;
Marcus Lee Taylor, 23, Griffin, failure to appear in probate court;
Dennis Eugene Dukes Jr., 24, Griffin, possession of marijuana and no tail lights;
Greekis Jermaine Barkley, 22, Griffin, possession of marijuana and no seat belt;
Gwendolyn Evone Hearns, 48, The Rock, deposit account fraud;
Julius Christopher McFadden, 21, Jackson, violation of state probation;
Kenneth Collier, 50, Barnesville, violation of parole;
Mark Randall Wilson, 37, violation of state probation;
Teresa Rena Johnston, 40, Milner, public drunk;
William Glenn Kirkland, 49, Griffin, driving without a license and speeding;
Bruce Edward Miller, 50, Griffin, tampering with evidence, VGCSA, drugs not in original container and weaving over the roadway.
Deputes answered 138 calls, responded to seven traffic accidents, served 20 warrants and 13 civil papers and/or subpoenas and issued 101 citations.

Don't tell me you ate the ground up possom/road kill meat !! Yuck... the sheriff and all his men should have to eat it too, for that matter all of the commissioners too. That's cruel enough punishment for anyone, oh don't you just love the half cup of watered down cool aid too.
HEY PEOPLE GET A LIFE THESE PEOPLE AREN'T IN IRAQ BEING PUNISHED.... AT LEAST FEED THEM DECENTLY!! HEY DID THAT INMATE WASH HIS HANDS BEFORE HE FIXED THOSE PLATES OF FOOD/GARBAGE ?!

Lets see whats the best way to combat this situation. How can I make sure I never have to experience this. Hmmm....I can't....well there is one idea...STAY OUT OF JAIL! Ah yes that's it. I plan to stay out of jail. Then I never have to worry about coming on here and complaining about JAIL HOUSE FOOD! omg you seriously have to be kidding me. IMHO they shouldn't have fed you at all. Save us even more tax dollars. I wish they would feed the inmates here like they do in some other countries. Bars of "clay" that contain the basic nutrients to sustain life. Would be a lot cheaper.

I dont think that our tax money should feed one icarcerated person. I say let them grow their own food and work for it... who cares what the food is like @ the jail? I know I dont give a damn...

Stay out of jail and eat at home or do something serious enough that you will get a bond set or one of those cute little ankle bracelets. Let me see, Child Molesting, Murder, Arson, Kill a child while passing a bus on a double-yellow line. You can just say the glove don't fit. But hide your Heisman trophy. The Goldman family may sue for wrongful death and own everything you have...........Civilian Justice..........Sometimes you gotta take that extra step.

I guess we have all sinned once or twice in our lives.. God wouldn't want any of us to go hungry no matter the situation.
Also, it really doesn't take much to go to jail. So don't ever think your too good because it could happen to you!! You can be accused of something you didn't do and be put in jail! Then you'll have to eat that nasty food and live in unclean cells until you go to court and proven not guilty!! So yeah, don't ever say "never".

Nope never been to jail....like i said its all about choices. But once you get to jail, I think it should be a horrible place. Maybe some of the people would get tired of going there ya think? I say bread and water only.

You are kidding right Christy? Im sure everyone at the jail needs to be there. If not, they shouldnt have put themselves in the position to be there. Its all about choices.

actually thats not true. i would estimate about 70 percent sitting out there are arrested for some sort of traffic violation or just some simple misdomeanor. they or their families dont have $200 - $300 to bond them out so they sit there on the tax dollar bill.

yet, like the above said, all the rapist, murders and child molesters get out and run the streets and end up doing more crime.

and another thing. by the time you get through lining everyones poket, i.e.: paying the bondsman their 10% cut, paying Mitch Buice a forture to get your car out of impound or even end up loosing it to him and pay for additional associated cost, you couldve already paid for the ticket you got in the first place.

i can say these things because ive experienced jail. i didnt wake up and say to myself, self i think ill go to jail today.

i got pulled over and was taken to jail over a simple misdameanor and had to do several days in jail due to having no money or family to bail me out.

so get off your hypocrite wagon because what goes around comes around and you might just end up there yourself over making a simple mistake!!
