Gordon College will hold groundbreaking ceremonies for its new Nursing & Allied Health Building Friday, Aug. 21, at 9:30 a.m.
The ceremony, which is open to the public, will be held on the lawn between Melton Hall and the student center.
Construction of the $16 million facility is expected to be completed in fall 2010.
The three-story, 54,000 square-foot structure will be built where Watson Hall once stood, on the west side of campus near Spencer Street. It will allow the nursing and allied health programs to move from Smith Hall, which was built in 1938 and contains about 13,000 square feet.
