In perhaps the program’s biggest win in a decade, the Lamar County Trojans christened their new stadium with a 31-0 throttling of the Spalding Jaguars Friday night.
The shutout win was all the more sweet in that several Spalding players boasted in the days leading up to kickoff that they would hang 50 points on the new Trojan Field scoreboard.
The stands were a sea of blue as a capacity crowd answered the team’s call for a Blueout.
