would that be because First National, almost lost there FDIC standing long before the bank crisis. I would never put money into such a poorly run bank.

Maybe u wouldn't put money in it cause u don't have none ha ha but this is a good bank however it has lasted so long and very safe!!

you dont know what you are talking about. we have not almost lost our fdic standing. i have worked for both places and and to tell you the truth united bank does not care about their employees, it was the wrost place that i have ever worked, FNBB has been great to their employees. We also have great people that work here. We have bent over backwards for our customers and have done things to make them happy. if you have had a problem please tells us so we can help you dont get on here and bash us because you probably never given us a try

where is all this money coming from to buy the assets from these banks?? is it called the stimulas package. are that making that much profit to buy these assets? just money from the president to banks right!!....maybe their officers will get big bonuses like all the other big banks get...

This is the problem in LC. Every time somebody or something has success, people fuss about why others are not mentioned. You succeed, you get glory; you stay the same and never improve yourself, you fade into the background. I'm proud of United Bank and all the energy their employees put into not only their work but the customer service. They deserve any recognition they get. Others need to step up their game or be quiet.
