Milner’s planning and zoning/downtown development workshop last week, which aimed to set standards for commercial development, took a left turn when it was discovered Milner has no laws governing adult entertainment businesses.
Another workshop is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, following the Downtown Development Authority meeting at 6 p.m., city council learned Aug. 19.

I will definitely support the local economy.
Maybe you and I could form a "very limited" Limited Liability Company with Rudy Vaughn after he gets out of prison and retires to his vast Milner estate on Old Alabama Road.
With Rudy's knowledge of the local Milner political scene and his ability to amass a financial fortune as an honest "businessman", our LLC could make an offer on the building that once housed Rudy's defunct BBQ stand.
We could ease out the guy at Backwoods Grill, obtain permits and be "grand-fathered" as a legitimate Adult Entertainment Business in the heart of downtown Milner! What a concept!
Rudy would once again 'feel at home' by being ensconced in "The House That Rudy Built".
We can become entrepreneurial legends in the Adult Entertainment World just like the legendary and infamous Mitchell Brothers.
I lived in San Francisco in the 1960's and watched the Mitchell Brothers became very wealthy after creating an adult entertainment empire. Unfortunately, their adult business partnership was dissolved when Jim Mitchell murdered brother Artie in 1991.
If you and I keep Ol' Rudy in the "limited" role of "meeter and greeter" like boxer Joe Louis used to do in Vegas, we wouldn't have an abrupt dissolution of our LLC.
Time is of essence! Permits are needed!
The heads are together in the Milner City Hall while the political brain trust tries to figure out a way to circumvent any Adult Entertainment even though they plead for more city growth and a larger tax base. We must act!
Siuol, even though I have good thoughts of us three being in business together, I feel it is encumbant upon me to inform you and Rudy of the following fact.
I am old enough to be Rudy's father (heaven forbid) and barely surviving on my monthly Social Security pittance. Therefore, I find it necessary to look for you and Rudy to finance our future operation if we are to succeed in my proposed venture. I will employ my knowledge and wisdom to guide our LLC and abstain from present financial responsibility due to lack of funds on my part. You two will have to carry the financial burden to finance start up costs. The $big bucks$ will roll in!
The only thing lacking is a suitable name for our "spanking" new Adult Entertainment venue.
Any ideas? Anyone?
