By Ken K. Green
Erratic pitching in the first inning and sloppy defense in the second cost the Lamar County Lady Trojans their first home loss of the season as they fell to Upson-Lee 7-4 here last week.
The Lady Knights took advantage of three walks and a pair of hits to score four first inning runs. They added three unearned runs in the second inning thanks to four Lamar errors to lead 7-0.
The Lady Trojans and pitcher Abby Walker settled down after that and held Upson scoreless the rest of the way on two hits, a walk and a hit batter. Lamar whittled away at the seven run deficit but could not get the big hit to get enough runs to catch up.
Pitcher Abby Walker gets a strategic talk from catcher Meagan Carter.

seems like Ken K. Green likes to post articles on here bout how we lost instead of how many we've won. can we get a little respect for our hard work and improvement?
