Some 9,690 property tax bills are being printed and checked in preparation for them to go out in the mail.
"They should be ready to go out this week," said tax commissioner Andrea Anthony, who is double checking them before the mass mailing. "They'll be mailed as soon as they're printed."
In all, there are 9,312 real estate tax bills and 378 for personal property.
"Pre-bills for mobile homes will go out at the first of the year," said appraiser Holly Patel of the assessor's office.

Get ready for the shock. The never raise taxes Republicans have added $200-$300 to your property tax bill while they continue to give break after break to their corporate masters.

I think that anyone over the age of 60 should not have to pay school tax along with the ones ( thatis only if they can prove it) that do not have children in the school system. Even better property taxes should be done away with and the tax should be put on anything and everything that can be bought. Like food, beer, smokes, cars, and anything else to that matter..............I do not eve have grand nor great grand children in the school system.
