The LCCHS girls softball came out on top yesterday against Howard County with a romping score of 12-3.
The middle school football team defeated Gray Station in their season opener at Trojan Field yesterday 40-14.
Three long touchdown runs for LCMS were called back on penalties or it would have gotten even darker for Gray Station boys. Scoring touchdowns for LCMS were Lawrence Austin (2), his twin brother Lance (2), Micquavious Searcy (1) and Quentin Frazier (1). Searcy had one two-point PAT and the other PAT came on a pass from Lance Austin to Tyler Scandrett.
The next game for LCMS will be in Jackson next Wednesday against Henderson Middle School. The next home game will be Wednesday, September 23 at 5 p.m. against Byron Middle School.
