With the forecast still calling for showers all day over Middle Georgia hundreds of runners, joggers, hobbyists, walkers and cheering sections rallied at Summers Field by 8:00 a.m. for the annual Buggython Road Race.
The Buggython benefits local school athletics and is sponsored by local businesses. Included were a 5K, 10K and fun walk.
Crossing the finish line first in the 5K with a time of 19:31 was Jeff Keady. Following just behind him was Chris Trivette and Brent Kilby.
The Masters (50+) overall 5K winner was David Williams.

I'd like to try this, but I always forget to train for it. I've forgotten to train for the past 58 years now.

Its never too late. I'll be 56 next month and I started training in July after sitting behind a desk for the last 25 years. Did the 5K in 28:40.

My Son has run this race since moving to Barnesville 5 years ago. This year was the best yet!! Thanks for making it certified. That helped him qualify for the Peachtree. Great Job.
