The Barnesville Woodmen of the World lodge will hold a flagpole dedication ceremony in remembrance and honor of Master Sgt. Davy Weaver at Lilla Memorial Baptist Church on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m.
Weaver, who lost his life fighting in Afghanistan on May 18, 2008, is buried at Lilla. The section of Highway 36 East on which the church is located is named for him.
