Heavy rain falling on already saturated ground resulted in some localized flooding Monday evening in Barnesville-Lamar County.

My prayers go out to all the families who lost loved one in this terrible flooding. I am so ready for sunny days and dry weather. I feel like a mushroom.

So, if a tree falls and kills a child, by your logic, parents should be beaten for letting kids play near trees. The world is full of dangers, and we all need to mbe mindfull, but not fearful of those dangers.

That was not a negative comment. I think it did some good to wash the streets, storm drains, ditches, etc. It helped to wash down my yard of grass mulch. And it is mother nature's way of washing down the earth. I love Buggy Days and enjoy it as mucjh as anyone. But it does make a mess (but worth it). I just stated that a good hard rain does help to clean things up. Don't get all pissy about it and say I am being negative.

Sorry to make this negative comment, but there is so much negativity we have to take a stand against negativity. There may be some debate about your comment being negative, but their negative comment about your negative comment was exceptionally negative. It was so negative they snatched the negative prize right out of your negative hand. Negative people should keep their mouth shut. This community is negative enough. No wonder people think we are all negative.

Walter, Yes major damage. Sorry you missed it! A rotating column of high wind late Monday afternoon downed several trees and scattered metal roofing from atop this barn at 273 Trice Road in Milner. Homeowner Richard Johnson said he was indoors when the apparent microburst touched down but came out afterward to find most of the materials scattered alongside Cauthen Road. Barnesville-Lamar Fire and Rescue responded to the scene around 4:30pm, along with a repair crew from Southern Rivers Energy.

And one tree hits house in Barnesville. There was no injured. Major flooding near Redbone and High Falls. $30,000 in damage. Did I send you picture?

Back to the original question please. We got 4.25" of rain on Perkins Road on Sunday alone.
