The Crossroads convenience store at the intersection of Highways 18 and 341 was robbed late Friday night and city police think the thief may be the same black male who hit Flash Foods earlier this month.

I agree, I was just wondering why the police didn't give the description of the car?

They just say this is the car and then shows the photo.

They need to hire a security person to be descrete and hang around the store. Id do it part time. How much you guys willing to pay. Once they figure that they will get shot and die they will quit pulling this crap.

From my understanding everybody is ok. Just shook up.. the cashier working that night said he didnt leave in a car he left running... and he got a lot... i mean a whole lot of money from that store. Somebody better stop him before he does shoot someone.

Well lamar county police needs to do a better job patroling the areas however that is my grandma who works at that store and she was working that night and if she would have gotten hurt somebody would have to answer to me she was frightened as she went for the panic button and he pointed the gun at her and told her to stop however we need citizens help to put this thief behind bars!

She's just really friendly with them...they come in and buy lotto everyday...I seriously doubt the cashier was involved.

First of all what does that have to do with the price of beans in china you dumb redneck? NOTICE at every conv. store there are random people hanging around. Black, white, purple, blue, green or yellow it dont matter... we all bleed red. I think they need to be checking up on your whereabouts Friday night because you might be involved in it because you are jealous!

I think it is time for our city council to hire more police, two at night just aint getting it. I listen to the scanner and i hear them answering music complaints, going to stores for escorts, and some type of fight at that jersey bar. AND ROBBERIES. sUNDAY they did catch that guy on stafford breaking into cars. aint to ssay all that dope being sold on mill.

Geeesh Crossroads surveillance video sucks!!! It is 2009..... people get some better quality Video camera's and the law would get these low life piece's of garbage off the streets quicker.

Maybe if law enforcement would stay out of local bars and actually patrol the town while in uniform a lot of these crimes could be prevented.

There are only two officers on duty at night. I have a scanner too and they work their butts off. It is time for Kenny Roberts and the police chief to step up and realize this town is growing, crime is growing, and two officers cant get it done alone. Dont blame the police. Blame the city manager.

Hey Kenny...when are you going to let the PD hire more officers? I think they need more than two people on duty at night. This town is growing, especially the student population at Gordon. Has anyone tried to go to the Huddle House on a Thursday night? That is ridiculous!

I worked at crossroads myself a while back! And belive it or not it is not all that safe in there at night by your self! And if someone comes up there just to sit with you so you will be a little safer.... Vick will make them leave when he comes in and tell them that they cant stay there.... I bet they did have alot of money in there for it to be a friday night... I always worked nights when I worked there... and my Big Thing is the PANIC BUTTON REALLY WORKS!!!!!! We were goin to test it one day but Vick said NO!!! I am so glad that is did and that everyone there is safe!! And I hope he is stoped soon!!

I would like to thank all of you who showed concern for me after the robbery. It is a good feeling to know that people still have a heart about other human beings. Anyone who knows anything about crossroads also knows that it is not easy working there at all. There is only 1 cashier per shift and it is too busy for that at times. It also isnt easy working for victor--but with the economy hurting so bad--some of us have no other choice but to eat crap and tough it out! Those of you who want to be judgemental need to know that i dont care about your opinion and i am not changing who i am for you!! I was not working alone when i was robbed but when it come down to me being robbed i was alone!! The person who was there with me is related to the owner and all he did was stand there and let me go through all that alone--just imagine how that would make you feel!! I still kept my head up and fought my fears and returned to work the next day--could you do that?

I just wanted to say this.. that is my cousin and I know what happen.. the car and the last guy thats him. my other cousin is a cop for upson county. and they are saying that the car and the last guy witch is my cousin isn't who they are looking for.. the guy that robbed the stor came in after my cousin left and ran after his car. witch made him look like a suspect.. but everything will come to light...
