Deputies in Lamar and surrounding counties are on the lookout for a specific vehicle in connection with a string of burglaries in recent weeks.

I hope a gun owning home owner runs across these POS before the cops catch them. They must not know the person to gun ratio in this area...

i have wondered why lamar county doesn't notify the citizens that live in an area of a rash of break-ins.then i remembered we have gone back to the "good ol boy" days,so that explains that.it seems to me that lamar county is more worried about trying to keep a good image instead of warning citizens about crimes in their area of the county.

Quoted for truth. Seems the voters wanted to return to this style of county law enforcement, so I hope they enjoy it.

Based on what came before, no one should be the least surprised at what is taking place now. After all, that appears to be what a majority wanted.

Funny! I am not sure if any one caught my joke about the car. But I was not refering to the color of the car...I was refering to the people that drive these cars. Class project: please locate 25 Crysler Magnums when you are driving through public areas and notice which race of people drive this particular car.

Least you think our illustrious and healthy sheriff is sparing no effort to locate these nefarious criminals.

As usual, my Valentine radar detector was working overtime as not one, but t-w-o, of Larry's professionals were running radar on Hwy 36 today.

Can't help but wonder if LCSO would slack off on the revenue collection and patrol the backroads more, these criminals would not have had the opportunities they did.

But a majority of the voters felt "bringing back" this..."pro"...was a good idea.

Elections have consequences.

Every time I ride past exit 201 and exit 205 on I75 I get ticked off. There they are, the Lamar county sheriffs department pulling motorist over right and left, fishing for something that would generate revenue for the department. The safest way to drive the interstate highway is to cruise the express lane and to do so you must push the speed limit. This is the only way to stay way from the 18 wheelers, blue hairs and the traffic entering and exiting the freeway. This is an unscrupulous practice that can easily ruin the lives of good people. The fact that motorist push the speed limit just to stay safe and law enforcement use this as leverage to search and seize does not reflect well on citizens of Lamar County. We should put ourselves above such behavior.

they (the SO) will not stop running radar so much because all they are worried about is "keeping the budget up" so they can say during the next election "but look we balanced the budget".while the criminals haul off everybody stuff.

I guess you have never heard of Police presence. I guess when you go fishing you move all over the lake and wonder why you can never catch fish. Same principal applies here.

As for running radar well they are there already make use of the time they have. Also you would be the first one to start fussing when they want to raise your taxes to pay for lost revenue had the deputies just been sitting there running out gas waiting to catch these losers. At least your name suits you.....

One last thing those are two you saw; how many are out there that you didn't see, you ignorant hayseed???? If you don't like what they are doing why don't you get in your POS truck, get your cellphone, load up your Geritol gang from Hardees and you start riding the roads instead of getting on here and spouting off about crap you are clueless too.

that is the stupidest reply to a post i'v ever heard of,responces like that show how people like obama and waller got elected.
"police presence" you cant set on the side of hwy 36 or hwy 18 all day shooting radar hoping that a criminal will come by speeding with a car full of stolen loot.
patrol the roads, keep it to "HOT" for the POS to have time to break-in houses.make yourself known.THAT IS unless you DONT WANT to keep them from breaking in houses.

Ignorant Hayseed can you please tell the folks of this fine county, What has Sheriff Waller done to you? It seems every one of your blogs go after him and his office. Crime is up everywhere, even the surrounding counties have been having major problems with crime. Why do you continue bashing the Lamar County Sheriff Office, please let us know and if it is something personal why not talk to the man himself. The election is over and Sheriff Waller is the Sheriff and will be for the next three years. Save all you negativity for next election!

If you are going North on I-75 you dont need any more police presence.You just drove through Forsyth Ga. and saw about 20 of them and got pulled over by 5.
