Union City cycle crash victim identified as missing Pike man

A body found along with a wrecked motorcycle off Jonesboro Rd. in Union City has been identified as that of a misisng Pike County man.

The victim was identified as Alex Chandler, son of prominent Pike attorney Walker Chandler. A passerby spotted the bike and body Wednesday afternoon and alerted authorities. The body had been at the scene undetected for some time.

Mr.@ Mrs. Chandler, my prayers are with you and your family. I didn't know Alex,but I am so sorry for your lost. Keep your faith and remember everyone is praying for you all.

Alex Chandler's death is a real blow to those of us who knew him and because we knew him felt some hope for the future.
Alex was intelligent and moral, and that's just part of the reason so many of us are broken-hearted at this terrible news.
I hope everyone will join me and the other Chandler friends in prayer, prayer to comfort the survivors and prayer for Alex to rest in peace.
He was an awfully good kid.
