Kenneth Michael Yost pleaded guilty to felony murder and two additional counts in Lamar superior court October 8. He was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the November 18, 2008 murder of Donald Clark.

I sure hope they don't offer the EX-Wife a plea.
They need to stick 2 needles in her for what she did to ex-husband as he let her live under his own roof!

I am glad Michael pled guilty. It has to be a hard thing for his mother to stand by him. To know that your child murdered someone but still love your child!!

A mothers love is unconditional; if you are a faithful, devoted mother.......but there are times when you have to place that love to the side and let the child serve his own punishment!! Think about it......Why should his mother stand by her sons side?? Did she do wrong by teaching him to live a sinful life?? I really don't think so!!

I wouldn't want to place my mother up next to me bc I wouldn't want to embareace my mother any more further then what I had already done!! Thou shalt "HONOR YOUR MOTHER AND FATHER". That would be no honor to me!!

It's not a hard thing from Michael's mother to have stood by her son. As his aunt and sister to his mother, I am proud of her standing by him. She has never condoned what Michael did,but as his mother, she has stood by his side out of love for him. She's always known that he would serve time in jail. She also feels that he should be punished for his crime, but was also praying that he wouldn't get a death sentence. All this my sister has done out of love for her son.

I believe that the punishment should fit the crime. But as his aunt I too didn't want a death sentence. I love Michael and don't condon what he did. I feel for Donald's family and I will continue to pray for his children and family.

I can possibly understand taking the death penalty off the table for him in a plea, but why should he ever get parole?

they haven't done anything to the moorehouse cop yet. Buice wanted it covered up because he was afraid it would become a racial issue.

He will do 14 years and be back with us. He is going to Jackson then off to Hayes st prison. He could do all of morgan corleys dirty work over there and keep MC from getting his butt handed to him.

I'd like to think that young Master Yost's time in jail has opened his eyes to the horror that he has taken part in.
He's very young and may have been easily manipulated by Ms. Clark. Certainly isn't an excuse for his part in the crime. I would think he's terrified to face the next few decades of his life.

mmmmm....really a hard question to ponder...as a mother, I would have to accept that my son had done murder and be ashamed of him, but..he is still my son and I cannot imagine what would keep me away from his side as long as I didn't make excuses for him..

His mother and rest of the family has gone thru hell also. Since most, if not all of you dont know everything that happened. She threated his son against him. He is a follower, not a leader. WE STAND BY HIM because we love him. We do not condone his part. But we love him!!!! He has to live with what happened. What he saw. What he did. I used to think like most of the people on here with their comments. It's totally different when it happens within your own family. The families need prayers. God will work as he sees fit.

That was my point. I knew Michael many years ago and know how troubled he was then. I also know what a follower he was. I think I would have to stand by my son even if I hated what he had done!

You're right. I've known Mike since birth, since like Gayla, I am his aunt and older sister to his mother. This has been hard on all of us along with the Clark family. No matter what our children do, we love them. Any of these people on here who say they would not are not human. We pray for his safety and know he has a huge battle before him.

I would like for whoever reads this to know that we (Michael's family) visited him this past weekend to see him before he's sent to prison, and when my Mother, his grandmother, talked to him the only comment that will stay with me forever was, "I'll never get to hug you again." She then had to walk away because she started crying.

Not only has this been hard for Donald Clarks' family but it has also been hard for Michael's family as well.

That may be true he may never get hugs from his family again.... But I am Donald Clarks daughter and while Michael will probably get out in 30 years I will never have my daddy back and my one year old son will never have his grandpa! so yes micheals family might be hurting but at least one day they will get him back but nothing can ever bring my daddy back and nothing will ever change what micheal did so to me no matter how hard it is on micheals family at least they can hope to see him or even visit him in jail. do you know where I go to visit my daddy to a cemetary plot! I think this is harder on my family than yours.

I guess it's true what they say about the first one to take a plea, getting the lesser end of the deal. I read some of the notes he passed her in jail, and talk about issues!! The only reason he took the plea before she did' was to not get te death penalty. He went so far to say, in those passed notes, that all she had to do was keep her mouth shut and they wouldn't be there now. He also threatened to do the same to her children, if she didn't go along with him. They're both guilty, but I find it hard to believe that she could've swung a bat that hard, as pregnant as she was.. Still, she shouldn't have tried to cover it up, no matter if he threatened her kids or not. I'm still praying for the children, the families that are taking care of them, and Donald's family. May God help to heal your pain, and bring you through this tragedy with His strength, love, and FORGIVENESS!!!
