Fired bank manager speaks out about robbery on video
Wesley Hallman reports he was summarily fired after a robbery at the bank branch he managed in Griffin. During the incident, Hallman exchanged gunfire with alleged robber William Lee Hunt Jr. who is a suspect in multiple bank heists.

Even the score. If these robbers knew all bank people were armed, then they'd surely be less willing to go into a bank and brandish a firearm. FNB just made sure all potential robbers knew they're folks won't be armed when they strike again.
It is also against some returaunts policy for someone to have a firearm in the building. People do it anyway, but if they see it they will ask you to take it outside or leave. Wonder what they would say if there was a robbery and a couple of people shot. You came up with a firearm and disarmed the perp and the killings stopped. Do you think the resturaunt would file a suit against you. MAYBE! Maybe not.
All of these Anti gun people are freakin crazy. You are suppressing the people that are legally posessing one. The bad guys could care less about a policy or law. Why have a law or policy in place that only affects the people that are law abiding citizens. Think about it. Who obeys laws?

This sounds like something Obama would push in his agenda. Punish the ones that can legally carry a firearm and let the thugs and villians continue to terrorize everyone else. Obama wants to disarm the people. What an idiot. The bad guys are gonna do bad no matter what laws are in place. Why make the law abiding citizens suffer or be held back.

It is plain that if this situation had not come about as it has, then he obviouly was going to continue and it could not have gone on forever, bank after bank, without some innocent individual being shot. God gives us the knowledge and ability to do what we should do, it is up to us to use it in the right way, Mr. Hallman, my hat is off to you in making the right dicision, and being a part of getting this absolutely dangerous man off of the street before the day came that an innocent life was tragically taken.

I carry to protect myself and my family. Not to be a Hero. If a guy comes in robs a place and leaves so what, let the Police handle it. If he starts shooting, then that is another story. The bad guy did not shoot back until he was outside the bank. That Manager is lucky he didn't get shot and then the other people in the bank. 10-12 feet and he still missed? Where did the bullets go?
This has nothing to do with 2nd Amendment Rights it is about Company Policy. A Flight Attendant can't carry at work, a gate agent can't carry at work. Coke Cola deliverers cannot carry. Truck Drivers cannot carry. The list goes on and on.
Oh, and I dislike Obama as well, but he hasn't made one move yet to take our guns. He even signed a law that allowed people to carry in a National Park.
obama did not sign any law legalizing anything. The can only sign "exceptions" to existing laws, which may be the case.

Obama signed in a law that preempted (or negatated, or offered an exemption) a more restrictive law. He didn't "sign a law making something legal".
A quick course in how the legal system works might help your credibility, if you like that sort of thing.
As far as the carrying policies in National parks. I think it was proposed before hand since a couple of people were slaughtered in parks right. I think he knew it was in his best interest to do so.

Mr. Hallman did not follow company policy and so was terminated. Like it or not, the rules had to be followed.
Let me just go on record here by saying that I don't want my coworkers packing, and there are days when they sure wouldn't want ME packing firepower either.
And by the way, I can see nothing in this story that concerned President Obama. Are some posters just looking for a reason, any reason, to bash the President?
If you deal with the public then you are putting yourself in a vulnerable position. If you dont deal with the public, you still have to worry about what nut job has had to go through at home or with someone else and try to take the place hostage. If you had a firearm and knew how to use it you could very well defuse the situation. Why just sit around and wait for swat or LE officers storm the building.
Bottom line is that the bad guys are gonna do what they want, when they want reguardess of any laws or morals.
If you dont take precaution against the crazies then you are stuck. We, as the law abiding citizens, have rules placed on us because they know that we will follow them.
The laws arent for the bad guys. They are to keep the good guys within a box. Think about it.

Why would anyone shoot first on a robber when almost all of them never fire a shot, and if they did shoot first why would they do it in a situation where they missed two times? They are too many cowboys who think this is the wild west.
