According to a report released weeks ago by the FBI, crime in Lamar County is on the rise but the actual numbers are still far and away from those found in big cities.

The economy affects us all. Some of us cut corners and perhaps take on a second job, and then there's that segment that just goes out and tries to take someone else's stuff.
What! How can that be? We were assured that a change in sheriff would correct all that was wrong in Lamar.

The stats don't lie.
Meanwhile I-75 is safe and Hwy 36 well patrolled for speeders.
He took office Jan '09. The stats are comparing 2007 to 2008. Seems problem isn't Waller not doing his job, problem was Buice falling down on his job the last year!
Give it a break? Why? I expect someone that made campaign promises to follow through on what he promised. We were assured of improvement and the stats seem to indicate that far from improving, the situation is getting worse. Not even a year? What will the situation look like in 3 1/2 years if this current trend and the lack of an effective response continues?
If you don't like critical opinions of the current occupant, I suggest leaving the site.
We will continue for the entire term of Waller to closely observe his performance(..or lack of).
