Tanner Korb (68, left photo) gets a key sack on the Manchester quarterback. Tailback Lawrence Austin (12, right) break loose for a touchdown in the LCMS Middle School Trojans' 25-12 win over Manchester.
I feel that this team and other Lamar County teams are so overrated now. Just because they get a few wins NOW everyone is behind them. What if it's a fluke season? Everyone will be bashing on them again next year. Be prepared TROJANS!
Great job guys! AMAZING TEAM! Amazingly unstoppable! I've never been so impressed with a middle school team before. You guys play harder than most high school teams!
I'm with you, Sheila. Just because the team has gone undefeated doesn't mean that life wont defeat these kids sooner or later. We shouldn't encorage them to get there hopes up!
Sounds like life must have defeated you already and you've given up hope, take your sorry attitude elsewhere and quit hating on those kids that are in middle school and have already achieved more than you have in your entire life. Hahaha!

When a team defeats every single opponent they face - as the undefeated MS Trojans have done, you cannot call that team overrated. An overrated team is one that receives too much early hype only to lose games to lesser teams. The middle school has a great team this year - does that mean that they will never lose a game as the players go through HS? No, but good feeder programs such as recreation ball and middle school will help our HS team be more successful in the future. And give the kids a break, I don't think that anybody is telling them that they're all going to the NFL because they had an undefeated season in middle school. You're posts suck Sheila, GO TROJANS!!!
You know somethings on this blog disgusts me. Comments from #2 and #2.3 are two of those such comments. Everyone has a right to their own opinions, but have you ever stopped to think that these KIDS and their parents may read this stuff. These are KIDS you are bashing on here. Sure along the way there may be disappointments, but to say life will defeat these kids sooner or later!?!? How dare you place that on a CHILD who hasn't even gotten his chance at life yet. I dare you say not to encourage them. CHILDREN need encouragement, that's what helps teach them the RIGHT thing to do. Without encouragement is how too often too many choose the wrong paths to take. Who cares if our teams lose next year? I hope they continue to have winning seasons, but if they don't guess what?? I will be behind them supporting them either way. Alot of times sports ENCOURAGE kids to stay focused and keep them off the streets. For some kids this may be all they have and sports may be what keeps them on a better path in life. I have a child on this team and I know ALL the players on this team. They are ALL doing a great job this year and I ENCOURAGE each and every one of them to continue to do their best on and off the field!!
I totally agree with you DThomps... Amazing the intelligence level and integrity of some people in this world... I would be embarrassed as a child if those were my parents. I would probably feel neglected as well since they would probably treat me the same way.
Great post DT. You are 'spot-on' with your comments. I would surmise that the 'Negative Nancies' on here have failed miserably in their own lives. Misery loves company, you know. These folks with the negative drivel being espoused in these threads, don't want to see anybody else be successful, since they weren't able to achieve anything of substance in their own lives. Hence the mantra of trying to demean what these kids and coaches have accomplished...
'Sheila Tolley' -- obviously a fictitious character -- should just change her / his handle to 'Negative Nancy', lol. It would be more befitting...
No sense wasting your time on people like 2 and 2.3 DT. I'm pretty much guessing they are the losers they want to portray these kids to be. 2 and 2.3, crawl back under your rocks with the rest of the vermin who spew garbage on success because they didn't have the guts to work hard and make successes of themselves. And for the MS Trojans, great job so far kids and coaches. Finish the job. Beat Carver Rd.!!!
#10 you said in your post you would be embarrassed if those were your parents. I hope these people weren't allowed to breed. And if they did, their kids are probably the loser failures they are projecting our MS football players to be. I don't have a kid on that team but I know people who do and one day I might and I take exception to the comments of 2 and 2.3. I have really enjoyed following these kids this year and hope to see continued success from the in the future both on the field and off. Sure maybe some of the will fall by the wayside. I pray to God this is not the case. I wish them continued success when they move on the next level and beyond.
A proud parent of one of the players told me early on in the season that this team was good- I hope these young men take it on to high school.
Keep playing LCMS Trojans, I look forward to hearing about your games!
