Voters in Barnesville wards four and five go to the polls today, Nov. 3, to choose their city councilmen for the next four years. The polling place at the Barnesville Civic Center is open from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

In case you think your one vote doesn't matter, remember that the liquor issue passed a few years ago by only one vote and that's why you can now get that yummy margarita at El Durango.
Your vote does make a difference!

Yes La Gatita, I was the..burp..hic..the lucky very last person who stumbled into the ..hic..voting booth 1 minute..burp..before the polls and I was the one who cast that vote. you can thank me personally...I like Mexican food..me being from El Paso...see you at the restaurant at 5pm..hic..I will be weaving around in a black Dodge Durango...burpp..hic

Every time I see this Mexican name I think about my sister who passed away in the year 2000. She was a nurse, and a very good one. A young man came in and signed the register to see the doctor (Dr. L.L. Allen.) Gail saw the name, Jesus (Hesus) and walked out into the waiting area. She said, "I don't know who this is...but I am not calling you Jesus." It was so funny!
