The Lamar County Middle School Trojans defeated the Carver Road Eagles Wednesday 20-6 to take the Central Georgia Middle School Athletic League football championship. The game was played at Memorial Stadium in Griffin.
The Trojans started strong as Lance Austin returned the opening kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown. Lamar's attempt at a two-point conversion failed and the Trojans led 6-0.

Those coaches, Head Coach Kelsey Harris, Assistants Neal Burkhart and Greg Williams have truly taken the bull by the horns and changed the direction of the middle school program. It's amazing!
