A large torch is being used to burn off residual propane from the troubled gas cavern north of Milner.

They have always "burned off" the raw gas . Or fumes. I know for at least 25yrs at certain times you could see and hear that flame.

Why is this news. They do this all the time. I know they have been doing this for over 30 years. We have been able to see the flame at times from the Zebulon Road area.

They've been burning consistently for 2 weeks now. I just really wonder how this affects the price per gallon.
