BPD investigators have made an arrest in a rash of recent burglaries at city businesses.

Darien Lamar Bowles, 25, of 106 Bradley Circle in Barnesville has been charged with three counts of burglary. Investigator Al Moltrum did not release the names of the businesses allegedly hit by Bowles.

Moltrum credited barnesville.com coverage of the case and help from concerned citizens in making the arrest.

He also urged businesses to install good security systems including infrared cameras. Such a system also played a role in the capture of Bowles.

Bowles has an extensive criminal record.

Educate yourself. Take a look at poverty and crime levels and the link between the two. Google it.
Not everyone who is poor commits crime and not all crime is committed by poor people; however there is a definite connection between the two. Education also has a lot to do with it.

Unfortunately, there are many people that think there is an easy answer to a complex issue but we will be unable to solve problems such as this if we do not take a look at the actual cause. It is easy to attribute the problem to simple laziness, it is more than that.

Now go back and see how many had supporting parents. I.E. ~The ones that would whip a kids a$$ for doing such a thing or did they have parents that worked all the time or on drugs and didn't care what their kids did........Then come back with those figures.....

I would appreciate it if justice is served in this particular case.
No stroke or bump on the head defense. No getting out in 2 years in order to burglarize citizens who have the misfortune to be at WORK while they get ripped off.
