Trojans Cross Country end season in Carrollton

The Lamar County Trojans Cross Country teams concluded the season which began under the hot sun Aug. 3 at the state championships in Carrollton two weeks ago. 

The boys team placed 21st in a competitive field behind region rivals Jordan (10th) and Pike County (12th) and ahead of Callaway (27th).

Congratulations to you all! I really admire the committment you made to practice almost every afternoon, give up many Saturdays to go to competition (sometimes leaving at 6:00 AM), etc. I have two granddaughters on the girls team and have attended many competitions. I have noticed great sportmanship, support and friendship among all the team members. I'm proud of ALL of you. Great job Coach Walker and all who helped with these temas.
