In addition to a reward fund to help find and convict the killer of Griffin K-9 officer Jimi, a local church has taken steps to ensure his partner, Chad Moxon of Lamar County, gets another police dog.

If a new dog is 8500 dollars, why don't they take the reward and buy the man a new dog. Then raise money for a reward

$8500 is a good price for one of those officers I bet.I hope they catch the cold hearted hate full person who killed Jimi so Chad and Jennie can have some peace of mind! Is there any word on the case any leads or has it just went cold?

From what I was told when I called the GPD they originally hoped to purchase a new k-9 for $85,00, because they were able to purchase Jimi for that price, but the cost is actually going to be much higher than that. The good news is that between what they have in hand and what has been pledged they have enough money. They are hoping to purchase Cpl. Moxon a new k-9 by January.

His gun doesn’t have a heart that beats, just like yours and mine, and wouldn’t risk its well being to protect its master. Loosing a loyal k-9 companion means loosing a loved one and can be devastating. I hope the coward responsible for Jimi's murder is sitting at home scared right now. I cant wait untile the one(s) responsible are behind bars, where they belong. I’m sure Jimi’s loved ones will find comfort in knowing that one more dirtbag is off the streets thanks to him.
