Multiple cases from a drug roundup here May 13 are before the Lamar County grand jury this week.

how many people will get probation? Further more, how many people will get probation on top of their probation? we have an extrememly weak judicial system in this district.
We need to quit blowing money on stuff that is just a luxury like research on different stupid things and build more jails and prisons. These are the true things that will make a difference.

i,2,3, you are so right. Check out former Superior Ct. Judge Byron Smith's background. For the most part the judicial system is warped in most places around the country. A number of Judges are at fault and not the kids to whom the drugs are so available to buy,use and get addicted to. In my humble opinion, rehab and not always jail is a better approach to saving the youth.

how many of ur kids r using drugs it,s ok to talk about it until one of ur kids gets caught then there is nothing to say but give my kid probation.it,s time to help these people jail is a buiness they love to lock people up they get paid for every head thats n there it,s a game an we play into it.

dont lock people up for smoking weed or possesion of it. Heck if they want to smoke crack or meth whatever. If they choose to sell it that is a different story. They arent violating any of your rights so what does it matter.
If my child got caught for selling drugs or being at school with drugs i would first give them the spanking of their life no matter the age and secondly i wouldnt try to justify their actions and they should get what is coming to them.
I do not see anything wrong with someone smoking a joint in the privacy of their own home. Therefor if they get caught with a few grams in the car then they shouldnt be charged. If they are intoxicated while driving, fine, give them a DUI

The U.S.A. jails more people per-capita than any other country in the world. Georgia jails more than any other state in our country. Jails are not the answer for every type of crime but the poison is killing our kids and the cost to society is immeasurable. There is no reasonable balance in the justice people get in this county. Those with money or connections get that slap on the wrist and the less fortunate are punished severly. I don't know the answer but you can't expect people to respect the system as it works in this county. Usually the worst people rat out their friends and go free. Maybe they give valuable information but they are the root of the problem and the cycle is never broken.
