With only 7 days before Santa arrives the television seems to have turned itself over to 24/7 yuletide programming.

The finale of So You Think You Can Dance was the last straw as such fall populars as House, Glee, CSI, Fringe and Trauma all had their mid-season closers this past television week.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is the best. I have my own copy and will watch it year round when I need to get in the spirit. It was also on AMC a few weeks back, twice a night, for five nights. I watched at least half of the showings. "We're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap danced with Danny f'ing Kaye!"

Scrooged starring Bill Murray always gets forgotten. I love this movie. I love the idea of a Mary Lou Retton playing Tiny Tim. I love the notion of mice with antlers super glued to their heads. And I love this line:

I don't mind you shooting at me, Frank, but take it easy on the Bacardi

SCROOGED was second on my list behind Christmas Vacation. Bobcat Goldwaith cracks me up.

My TV is always turned to TBS or TNT or whichever channel is showing the 24 hours of A Christmas Story while we are eating Christmas dinner.

It drives my family crazy that I have to watch this, and that only makes it sweeter for me.

I love White Christmas. The funniest part of the movie to me is seeing Danny Kaye and Bing Crosby singing "Sisters". It looks like they really got tickled at themselves. It's a real feel good movie. A classic.

My favorite is Its a Wonderful Life. My favorite part is after he sees how people he loves would be if he was never born and he is on the bridge and cring saying he wants to live again, it gets me every time. I just cry and cry. This movie brings life into prosective to me.
