There was a time not so long ago when radical environmentalists were satisfied merely with attempts at taking away our right to own an SUV. Regrettably, those simple days are behind us. Today, these same radicals have focused their attention on taking away something far more precious – our pets. Hard to believe, right? Well, believe it.

I can't even give credence to this silliness.
Think I'll go get my kitty a special treat today.
No one wants us to eat our pets... Just a call to closely examine the environmental impact of our seemingly insignificant decisions.
The title of the book is not meant to be taken literally but it did make a target of itself for the fear mongerers.
There is nothing to fear but fear itself.
Imagine all this discussion on a solution to something that doesn't even exist.
Facts and Myths about Global Warming:
A Conservative Perspective by John R. E. Bliese, Ph.D.
http://www.rep.org/news/GEvol5/ge5.1_globalwarming.html
I suppose for some people, no proof is ever possible. There are people that still believe the earth is flat.
By the way, his perspective is not 'conservative'. It runs lock-step with other eco-terrorists who seek to enslave the human population using global environmental legislation and taxation.
And this is why you can't trust the Republicans to defend the US Constitution any more than you trust the Democrats. Both parties are anxious to use fake concern for the environment to hog tie the American people with new restrictions on liberty.
Don't believe it? Just look at all the carbon footprints your elected officials have left just over the last 6 months in the 'fight against global warming'. And check out Al Gore's palatial estate and his energy consumption. Or Nancy Pelosi's very important jet trips. And Mr. Obama's trip to Copenhagen to genuflect before world socialists and commit more US tax dollars to schemes to enrich world elites.
Remember, global warming restrictions are for the American people -not the White House, Senate, and Congressional Royalty.
Nice try, but what some nut says about animals has nothing to do with the fact we actually have global warming.

Ad Hominem
You sound like someone completely over-identified with your opinion to the point that it would be a huge blow to your ego and thus your existence to admit you might be wrong.
"Because understanding of the airborne fraction of carbon dioxide is important for predicting future climate change, it is essential to have accurate knowledge of whether that fraction is changing or will change as emissions increase.
To assess whether the airborne fraction is indeed increasing, Wolfgang Knorr of the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol reanalyzed available atmospheric carbon dioxide and emissions data since 1850 and considers the uncertainties in the data.
In contradiction to some recent studies, he finds that the airborne fraction of carbon dioxide has not increased either during the past 150 years or during the most recent five decades.
The research is published in Geophysical Research Letters"
