Even though they are juveniles their names and pics should be in the paper. The parents should allow the HG to post it for humility purposes and to teach the hoodlum children a lesson. Communtiy service and payment for damaged items should be the lowest punishment available.
Dumb aren't you? It's not an excuse, it's real. 80% of what you learn in life are taught by your peers not family. That's why some many upper class teen, that's born with the silver spoon turn out to be drug addicts. Let's be more proactive than reactive(meaning let's do more in preparation than in justifacation). Look at Bush did his parents teach him better. Like him you will probably have no answer or some funny, dumb, or just plan unjustifiable retort. With that said you will now try to come back with something intelligent, which will prove why you should have had an activity center.
I have had several posts suppressed the last few days. So here it goes again.
I agree with #3. I think you are the idiot and more of a reason that children should be better educated and given more creative outlets for their youthful energy in this small, small town. Some of the most rebellious and difficult children come from good church going families..some even pastors children..yet they rebel just like other children. I will not call names. But idle hands..etc.
I hope you do not have young children for you may have to eat your words one day. Its a different world we live in. It is not the 50s.
Hah, I wander where you get your statistics... Just because some kid is born in upper class does not mean that their parents or family are not drug users or thugs. It comes in all classes dear. And yes it is proven that the first years has the most impression, that does not mean that they have bad or good parents or family. Just as many good parents have kids go bad as bad parents... sometimes they are to blame and sometimes not. Let's not jump to conclusion. And if they are kids, no I do not believe that they should be published, I think all children still have a chance to change things, and some adults. Sometimes it may take a while to realize this is not the direction they want to go. Let's take this one case at a time. You can talk parents responsibility, local society, not enough stuff aroung town for the kids to do, upper class people or lower class people but, the fact is it can be a different circumstance for each case, that is why we have the courts to handle it. Truth be told everyone on this site that is coming up with reason's has no idea what the reason is.
Good night!
Well I have to say that when the town itself doesn't provide activities for your children, perhaps you parents can provide some for them?
Novel concept, I know.
And before anyone starts squawking about the costs of taking the children to events, let me mention that there are some low cost things you can find to do. Ride bicycles as a family. Rent a movie, pop some popcorn and have a family night. Pull out the UNO cards or a board game and play.
The kids need to know that they are part of the family unit and that they can stay home with you and stay out of trouble.
I agree. These people always want to blame a kid's upbringing on everything except where the blame lies, which is with the parents. Believe it or not, what worked in the '50s still works today. It's called parental involvement. Too many parents today want to shirk their responsibilities of actually raising their kids. There is a LOT more to raising kids than just putting a roof over their head, clothes on their backs and food in their mouths. Yet so many think if they've done that, they're good. And we reap what we sow.
It takes a village. Society need to work together to bring up the next generation. Parents can do the best they can but society is as much an influence on children as anything else. And children should not suffer if a parent fails..but this is the reality most of the time. We should not live as isolationists...or we will pay the price when things go wrong.
It doesn't take a village it takes a responsible parent or parents. Look at the responses left by 4 and 4.1 That is the right idea. I do a lot of volunteer work with my son's school and Scout pack. I no longer live in Barnesville but its the same thing I see here in Savannah. People who are involved with their children have children that know right from wrong and know better than to destroy other people's belongings. If the parents would step up and be parents then "THE VILLAGE" wouldn't have to take care of this new generations of Village idiots.
Ironic. You just said you volunteer and your son is a part of the scouts. You cant do that alone. He learns from the people he is surrounded by. Teachers, friends, church members. Wow..get a clue.
And news flash, you are also part of that Village of idiots. Do you know what a society is?
OK then! What is the excuse for the parents not teaching them any better?

Refer to #4 and 4.1. At least they understand. Parent involvment is important. Get the idea?
