Former Monticello mayor Susan Dykes Holmes has announced her candidacy for the District 125 seat in the Georgia House of Representatives now held by Jim Cole. Cole is expected to be appointed Secretary of State by Gov. Sonny Perdue on Monday.
The special election to fill Cole's slot will be held Feb. 9, 2010.

She needs to stay the Mayor if she's doing such an outstanding job. I see no need for her in the state house.
