Why does something have to be "not right"? There is nothing strange about someone making a career decision in one weekend. Some of you people amaze me with all your assumptions, accusations and suspicions! Get a life

I can tell you without question Jim made the best decision for his family and himself. I know Jim well and can tell you this did not just happen over night. He is a successful person who just happened to have two very good opportunities come his way at the same time. People make decisions everyday about what is best for thier family (or should) but his is just public for all to inject thier opinion as to what he should do or should have done.
GREAT CALL JIM! Your real friends and family know you did what is best for your family.

Continue to do that what is nearest.

This sounds like a man who was able to leave a position that may not have given him much joy, and who is able to now go to a job he will love.
Lucky man.
