At 12:00 p.m. the Barnesville Police Department received a call to B&L Quick Serve in regards to a black male attempting to pass a counterfiet $50 bill.

A second call came on the same black male attempting to pass the counterfeit $50 bill at Mcdonalds.

Upon arrival at Mcdonalds Dominque Donnell Fuller black male age 18 of Sandersville, GA was taken into custody on two counts of forgery for attempting to pass the counterfeit bill at B&L and McDonalds.

Here is what's interesting,the police scanner was following this fellow around as he was trying to pass his bill.
Hey, loser, go tell your friends back in Sandersville that we ain't that stupid here in Barnesville.
Oh, wait, my bad. You're tied up right now. Tell you what, make that collect phone call and tell your friends.

Why do we have to specify race in this instance. If police needed help finding someone I could understand mentioning "black. white, or other", but since the police had him in custody why was it necessary to mention it. By the way I am a white male if anyone cares.

The race is displayed for a number of reasons. First, the newspaper has a duty to report ALL of the facts no matter how much they hurt any race, color, creed, gender or status. Also this information may prove valuable to other persons or law enforcement who may read the article and have had a similiar encounter with a person matching the description. Wouldn't it be nice to see if they committed crimes other places? By the way, just as you indicate why did they have to mention he was black, why do you have to mention you are white?

Law enforcement should get their information through more official channels such as sharing information. If the newspaper has to mention all information why did they not mention what he was trying to buy. I am sure a good investigative reporter could find out that information. Let's not fool ourselves news media report what and only what information they choose. As for why I mentioned my race, it was so you would not think I was just a black man crying racism.

That was my point. What he was trying to buy was just as as important as his race. Neither one was information which was needed at all.

When you found out that the $100 was counterfeit, did you continue to try to use it? This gentleman knew that there was a problem when one merchant wouldn't take his fake money and he chose to try and go pass it off to someone else.
