Superior Court Judge Tommy Wilson today denied a motion by the legal team representing Morehouse College police chief Vernon Worthy that could have sent his assault case back to the grand jury.
He was indicted in September 2009 on false imprisonment, aggravated assault and pointing a pistol at another. Worthy is accused of pointing the pistol at Nathaniel Rooks and threatening him on Nov. 11, 2008, while hunting. Rooks testified Worthy ordered him to lie face down on the grass and forced him at gunpoint to roll away from his rifle and toss away his cell phone.

Attorney Pandora Palmer addresses the court.
If the college legal team is supporting him then the college should be responsible for all the legal cost by the taxpayers if he loses his battle in court; shouldn't it?
The issue of him having and paying for his own legal defense or the college providing his legal defense should be clear. The taxpaying citizens should know that a viable source is available to recoup taxpayer expenditures in this legal battle if Worthy loses.
And a word to the REST OF YOU BARNESVILLIANS, CLEAN UP THE LITTER IN YOUR ENVIRONMENT, PUT YOUR TIME TO SOMETHING SUBSTANTIAL; STOP SPECULATING!!!
