Lamar tax assessors chairman Lisa Dziedzic and vice-chairman David Dodd have issued prepared statements regarding the demand for their resignations by the Lamar County commission.
The commission voted 3-1 Jan. 12 to demand the resignations.

Lisa Dziedzic
Wait, really? Thats the only positive "great" strides that they can come up with? Didn't realize that putting up a box with a lock on it was considered a great stride now. Yeah way to go Dziedzic, thank you for figuring out locking mechanisms.
But the straw that breaks the camel's back in very near. With no new industry to increase the tax base or provide jobs, the stupid local government just can't seem to live within it's means.
But the day of reckoning is fast approaching, and local government will be the first to feel the wrath of a people overtaxed and under served.
Expect us.
It's a shame Dodd is quitting.
This all from pressure by a few people who have pushed people to toss you all out. They want the old system back where special people get special breaks and the rest of us get stuck making up the difference.
Maybe Lamar County needs a little 'transparency' in an open meeting with the Tax Assessors to iron out their greivances.
If they have done something worthy of kicking them out, I am all for it. But wouldn't everyone like to know the real reason? I don't
like to judge without facts.
Tax Assessors have a very unpopular job, but they don't charge the taxes.
Now, just why are we letting the board of commissioners have so much control here???
