Former Lamar County sheriff Joe Buice remained in stable condition Saturday morning at Grady Hospital in Atlanta.
He is recovering from a gunshot wound suffered in the line of duty Friday afternoon.
Buice was hit in the cheek by a round from an assault rifle. The bullet went through his neck and lodged in his shoulder. He had surgery last night, came through it well and the family hopes multiple tubes will be removed today.
The other victim of the shooting was hit in the face by flying glass when a bullet hit his vehicle. He was reportedly released from the hospital early Saturday.
We're with you, Joe!!

Grace and peace,
Can you tell me where that is in the scriptures? Thats not what I read
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
