Search on for drug court fugitive
A 22-year-old Barnesville man fled a drug court proceeding at the courthouse this morning and is now the subject of a manhunt by local law enforcement.
Montavious Rosser ran after the holding cell in which he was being kept was opened at about 11:30 a.m. He had just been sentenced to serve 30 days in jail for violating restrictions previously placed upon him. Sheriff Larry Waller reported late Friday afternoon that investigator Mark Barry had talked with Rosser by phone twice since the escape, encouraging him to turn himself in. [Full Story »]

Georgia State Patrol post 44 in Forsyth investigated 10 traffic crashes in Lamar County during April. The wrecks resulted in six injuries.

Former municipal judge faces probation revocation
