A Milner man serving time for burglaries in Lamar County has been linked to two more break-ins in Spalding County. Robert F. Funderburk, 28, incarcerated in Wheeler County, is headed back to Griffin to face the additional charges.

Abreu deemed incompetent; ordered institutionalized

Former Barnesville municipal judge Henry Abreu has been deemed unfit to stand trial and unfit to assist his legal counsel following a court-ordered mental evaluation.

Following a lengthy probation revocation hearing that delayed grand jury proceedings Monday, Judge Tommy Wilson ordered Abreu held at Central State Hospital in Milledgeville for 90 days or until he is deemed fit to stand trial. [Full Story »]
