Lamar sheriff's deputies and agents of the Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at Lot 39, Fuller's Trailer Park on Hwy. 41 North July 28 and made three arrests.

Milner police
During June, the Milner police department logged 463 hours on duty, patrolling 4,166 miles. Officers investigated four incidents and two accidents, performed 85 building security checks and seven assists and answered 10 miscellaneous calls. They issued 53 warnings and 37 citations including three child safety seat violations, 18 speeding, three defective equipment, one failure to yield, one possession of marijuana, one open container, one driving with a suspended license, one no insurance, six seat belt violations, one driving while unlicensed and one disorderly conduct. They made seven arrests for outside agencies including two child support warrants for Lamar County, one parole or probation violation for Barnesville, one parole or probation violation for Cobb County, one parole or probation violation for Treutlen County and two that were delivered to the other agencies without going through the Lamar County jail.

Multiple gunshots killed Burousas
Pike County murder victim Jimmie Burousas Jr. died from gunshot wounds to his head and torso, according to his official death certificate.
