Between Friday, June 26, and Thursday, July 2, the sheriff's office made 14 arrests:
Barron Johnson Walker Sr., 26, Thomaston, probation violation;
Jason Lanier Brown, 39, Barnesville, felony possession of dangerous drugs;
Lakeisha Danyell Barnes, 25, Barnesville, failure to appear;
Jeffery Keith Morris, 52, Barnesville, DUI, open container and weaving over roadway;
Warren Scott Walker, 43, Griffin, DUI and open container;
Cesar Ignacio Lopez-Uribe, 30, Zebulon, driving without license;
Jatori Davis, 22, Thomaston, probation violation and superior court bench warrant;
Anthony Carl Owens, 34, Barnesville, DUI and improper U-turn;
Benjamin Bruce Jackson, 57, homeless, probation violation;
James Henry Lee, 29, Barnesville, probation violation;
Timothy Wayne Nicholson, 42, Jackson, DUI and weaving over roadway;
Steven Roshaun Carter, 32, Barnesville, arrested for Laurens County;
Angela Denise Fields, 39, Milner, arrested for Coweta County;
Carl Walker, 43, Milner, violation of state probation.
 Deputies answered 111 calls, responded to 15 traffic accidents, served 10 warrants and 32 civil papers and/or subpoenas and issued 50 citations.  Lamar County E-911 received 110 emergency calls, dispatching county deputies to 34, city police to 33, county fire and rescue to 33, Barnesville fire to five and EMS to 47. Between Saturday, June 27, and Friday, July 3, the Barnesville police department made five arrests:
Kelly Boyt, 808 Piedmont Woods, Barnesville, theft by taking;
Jasmine Harris, 110 Jenkins St., Barnesville, disorderly conduct;
Douglas McCoy, 204 Brown St., Barnesville, battery and cruelty to children;
Reginald Smith, 350 Grove St., Barnesville, giving false name to law enforcement, resisting arrest and probation violation;
Robert Zellner, 13 Washington St., Barnesville, possession of marijuana.
Officers answered 139 calls for service including five accidents, five alarms, three EMS assists, 30 building security checks, four burglaries, one crowd control, two damage to property, six disturbances, six dog complaints, seven domestics, 22 escorts, three fights, two forgeries, one gas drive off, one harassment, one juvenile complaint, 11 miscellaneous, six noise complaints, three prowlers, one stolen vehicle, nine suspicious persons/vehicles, five terroristic threats and five thefts. They wrote 34 citations including two disorderly conduct, one giving false name to law enforcement, one possession of marijuana, one resisting arrest, six seat belt violations, 19 speeding, one suspended registration and two violation of license restrictions. Georgia State Patrol post 44 in Forsyth investigated six traffic accidents in Lamar County. The crashes resulted in seven injuries and one death.
Troopers issued 96 citations in the county last month including 70 speeding, 19 seat belt violations and two child restraint violations. They issued 66 warnings. [Full Story »]
