Between Friday, July 3, and Thursday, July 9, the Lamar County sheriff's office made 12 arrests:
Benny Sands, 65, Milner, open container and DUI;
Jesse James Kington, 29, Barnesville, DUI and speeding;
Johnny Dwayne Flournoy, 18, Barnesville, terroristic threats, possession of alcohol underage, disorderly conduct and obstruction of an officer;
Brian Jokevis Durham, 21, Barnesville, contempt of court;
James Kenneth Davis, 23, Atlanta, probation violation;
Martha Jean Watkins, 19, Barnesville, cruelty to children;
Adam Ray Layson Jr., 48, Barnesville, possession of cocaine, drugs not in original container, improper U-turn, no insurance and operating an unregistered vehicle;
Ryan Davis Radar, 29, Milner, DUI and driving with a suspended license;
George William Williams, 47, probation violation;
Jarvis Montrell Allen, 28, Milner, probation violation;
Omar Shantay Whatley, 28, Barnesville, arrested for Spalding County;
Lynwood Smith Jr., 47, Barnesville, probation violation.
Deputies answered 126 calls, responded to 11 traffic accidents, served 16 warrants and 73 civil papers and/or subpoenas and issued 49 citations.
Lamar County E-911 received 84 emergency calls dispatching county deputies to 32, city police to 24, county fire and first responders to 23, city fire to five and E.M.S. to 43
