Update:Janice Ricks, 55, of Macon, has turned herself in to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office earlier today, Feb. 25, 2010. Ricks has been charged with two counts of cruelty to children in the first degree. Ricks was released on her own recognizance by Judge Tommy Wilson.

Milner police report
During January, the Milner police department logged 404 hours on duty and patrolled 3,740 miles. Officers investigated six incidents and three accidents, performed 75 building checks, performed four assists and had nine miscellaneous calls. They issued 54 warnings. Five arrested in meth bust
Sheriff's deputies and agents of the Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at 147 Aldora Street Thursday afternoon. They found indications of methamphetamine manufacture and made five arrests.

Burousas makes court appearance
Accused killer Teresa Mangham Burousas made an appearance in Pike County superior court Tuesday.
Burousas was scheduled to be arraigned but mumbled she had no plea when questioned by Judge Christopher Edwards.
