In the past week, the Lamar County sheriff’s office made the following arrests:

Dwayne Pierce Cook, 42, Griffin, bench warrant;
David Blake Crews, 41, Barnesville, serving time;
Ryan David Middlebrooks, 29, possession of tool for the commission of crime, second degree criminal damage to property and theft/taking;
Joel Dwayne Wood, 27, Callahan, Fla., possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and weaving over roadway;
Mandriez Ramon Spivey, 30, no address given, probation violation;
Preston Bobby Ross, 20, Stockbridge, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana;
Lakendra Camille Threatt, 21, Forsyth, reckless driving;
William Roy King III, 39, Milner, no charges given;
Jennrice Quntill McDowell, 34, Griffin, giving false name or information and driving while license suspended;
Stecorrick Dixon, 18, Griffin, head light violation and violation of limited drive permit;
William Earl Brown Jr., 19, possession, manufacturing, sale or purchase of marijuana;
Krystal Ann Moyer, 37, Barnesville, child support;
Charles Travis, 41, Jackson, no charges given;
Carlos Alexander Ross, 29, Thomaston, probation violation;
Meckeal Tywuae Penn, 20, Jonesboro, possession of alcohol underage;
Deauntiquam A. Foster, 22, Riverdale, DUI alcohol and open container;
Jelita-Akisha Danyale Robinson, 18, Barnesville, serving time;
Janice Buchhamerr, 55, Juliette, arrested for another agency.
Deputies answered 85 calls and the 911 center received 92. Deputies responded to 28 calls, the Barnesville police department to 31, Lamar County firefighters to 17, Barnesville fire department to six and Mid-Georgia Ambulance to 36. Between Saturday, April 17, and Friday, April 23, the police department made six arrests:

Officers answered 105 calls for service including three accidents, five alarms, one EMS assist, 18 building security checks, three burglaries, one crowd control, four damage to property, seven disturbances, one dog complaint, three domestics, 20 escorts, one fraud, one harassment, seven miscellaneous, three noise complaints, two prowlers, one robbery, three shots fired, 16 suspicious persons/vehicles, three thefts, one traffic control and one 911 hang-up. They issued 32 citations including one disorderly conduct, one driving while unlicensed, one head light violation, one hindering enforcement, seven parking violations, two possession of marijuana, three seat belt violations, 15 speeding and one suspended registration. Deputies answered 86 calls and the 911 center received 88. Deputies responded to 22 calls, the Barnesville police department to 21, Lamar County firefighters to 23, Barnesville fire department to one and Mid-Georgia Ambulance to 41. There were 13 accidents. Heather Duffy, 195 Blake Ave., Jackson, probation violation;
Jerry Glanton, Hogansville, probation violation;
Frank Jones, 251 Mill St., Barnesville, driving while under the influence;
Troy Peacock, 208 Brinkley Rd., Barnesville, failure to appear.
Officers answered 85 calls for service including four accidents, one alarm, one assault, 17 building security checks, one criminal trespass, one crowd control, three damage to property, eight disturbances, two dog complaints, one domestic, 10 escorts, one fraud, two harassment, five juvenile complaints, 10 miscellaneous, two noise complaints, two prowlers, one shoplifting, seven suspicious persons/vehicles, two terroristic threats and four thefts. They issued 23 citations including one driving while license suspended, one driving while under the influence, one expired tag, two failure to obey traffic signal, eight parking violations and 10 speeding.

Between Friday, April 9 and Thursday, April 15 the magistrate court performed one wedding; issued 22 criminal and one deposit account fraud warrant; filed 11 dispossessories, one garnishment, one pre-warrant application and five civil suits; and held one pre-warrant, two civil suit, 19 first appearance/bond hearings, one dispossessory and one county ordinance violation and hearing. Lamar County sheriff deputies answered 77 calls. The Lamar County 911 center answered 67 calls. Deputies responded to 20 calls, the Barnesville police department responded to 20, Lamar firefighters responded to 11 calls, the Barnesville fire department responded to one, Mid Georgia Ambulance Service responded to 27. Officers answered 95 calls for service including four accidents, three alarms, 16 building security checks, one criminal trespass, three damage to property, two disturbances, one dog complaint, six domestics, nine escorts, one fight, two forgery, two fraud, two harassment, five miscellaneous, two noise complaints, one prowler, six suspicious persons/vehicles, one terroristic threat and five thefts. They issued 15 citations including one criminal trespass, one failure to stop at stop sign, one head light requirement, one open container, five possession of marijuana, five speeding and one wrong way on a one way street. During March, the Milner police department logged 377 hours on duty and patrolled 3,320 miles. Officers investigated 10 incidents and two accidents and performed 75 building security checks and seven assists. There were nine miscellaneous calls. They issued 54 warnings and made 42 arrests or citations including 21 speeding, three child restraint violations, three driving with a suspended license, two possession of marijuana, one defective equipment, two suspended registration, one tint violation, one driving too fast for conditions, two no insurance, one driving without a license, three seat belt violations and one theft by taking.
