Crime and Arrests

During May the Milner police department logged 335 man-hours and patrolled 3,348 miles. Officers investigated 10 incidents and four accidents, performed 67 building security checks and 11 assists and answered 12 miscellaneous calls. They issued 63 warnings and 55 arrests or citations including 19 speeding, two DUI, 10 no seat belt, three open container, four possession of marijuana, two driving without a license, one driving with a suspended driver’s license, seven child restraint violations, one expired tag, two child endangerment, one reckless driving, one unregistered vehicle, one failure to maintain lane and one fleeing and attempting to elude. Post 44 of the Georgia State Patrol in Forsyth investigated 12 traffic crashes during May in Lamar County. Traffic crashes resulted in 12 injuries and no deaths.
Troopers issued 43 traffic citations in Lamar during the month including two DUI. They issued 55 warnings. [Full Story »]

Stephen Minando, 54, Seaford, N.Y., possession of less than an ounce of marijuana;
Quavious Antwoine Searcy, 19, Thomaston, possession of alcoholic beverage under age 21;
Jontavious Lequon Collier, 18, Griffin, consumption, purchase, furnishing or sale of alcoholic beverage under age;
Alexis Ceiara Brewer, 21, LaGrange, possession, sale, purchase or manufacture of cocaine;
Jalisa Vernae Daniel, 20, Thomaston, possession, sale, purchase or manufacture of cocaine;
Solita Shuntae Mitchell, 20, Barnesville, DUI alcohol and weaving over roadway;
Lewis Jackson Flournoy, 49, Thomaston, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, weaving over roadway, and windshield or window tint or crack violation;
William T. Farley, 24, Zebulon, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, carrying a concealed weapon and no seat belt;
Tony Smith, 50, Thomaston, weaving over roadway, DUI alcohol and other charges;
Benjamin Matthew Reece, 39, Milner, driving while license suspended or revoked and DUI alcohol;
Teresa Cheryl Hancock, 50, Jackson, giving false name or information to police;
Gordon Randolph Hicks, 53, Lithonia, DUI drugs;
Raymond Lee Eubanks, 38, Thomaston, speeding and other charges;
Brandon Jamar Bunkley, 21, Barnesville, serving time;
Christopher Martin Stepanski, 25, Barnesville, failure to stop at the scene of an accident, hit and run or leaving the scene of an accident, other charges and windshield or window tint or crack violation;

Stephanie Nicole Bell, 24, Milner, family violence battery;
Justin Dwight Pharr, 20, Crestview, Fla., theft by taking;
Jimmy Lewis Goodman Jr., 36, Griffin, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, theft by taking, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission or attempt to commit a crime and burglary;
George Frank Herring, 52, Houstonville, Ky., possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act and other charges;
Jimmy Lee Griffin, 45, Houstonville, Ky., VGCSA and other charges;
Jimmy Mirron Coe, 39, The Rock, improper license or tag, driving while license suspended or revoked, open container, no insurance and theft by deception;
Christopher Lamar Sullivan, 21, Griffin, serving time.
Deputies answered 149 calls and the 911 center answered 91. Deputies responded to 33 calls, the Barnesville police department to 21, Lamar firefighters to 29, the Barnesville fire department to four and Mid Georgia Ambulance Service to 48. Between Friday, May 21 and Friday, June 4, the Barnesville police department made four arrests:
Melissa Anderson, 109 Freeman Rd., Barnesville, theft by shoplifting;
 Shalena Bunn, 4 Graham St., Barnesville, shoplifting and resisting arrest;
Zachary Curtis, 1617 Carriage Hills Dr., Griffin, possession of marijuana;
Roshunda Shaw, 202 Mill St., Barnesville, disorderly conduct.
Officers answered 92 calls for service including five accidents, four alarms, one EMS assist, 17 building security checks, one burglary, two crowd control, three damage to property, five disturbances, three dog complaints, one domestic, 13 escorts, one fight, one harassment, one juvenile complaint, nine miscellaneous, three noise complaints, two shoplifting, 13 suspicious persons/vehicles, one terroristic threat; two thefts, two welfare checks and two 911 hang-ups. They issued 27 citations including one disorderly conduct, one failure to stop at stop sign, one no license on person, one possession of marijuana, one resisting arrest, 13 seat belt violations, six speeding, two shoplifting and one wrong way on one way street. Jack Randall Lester, 18, Senoia, violation of limited permit and speeding;
Clint Jason Bright, 27, McDonough, bench warrant;

Deputies answered 130 calls and 911 Center answered 93. Deputies responded to 36 calls, the Barnesville police department to 30, Lamar County firefighters to 20, the Barnesville fire department responded to one and Mid Georgia Ambulance Service responded to 31. Soloman Walker, 117 Moore Rd., Macon, burglary, terroristic threats and carrying a concealed weapon.
Cheveckio Wilson, 4361 Appletree Dr., Stone Mountain, theft by taking;
Brian Wyke, 101 Olivia Lane, Barnesville, disorderly conduct, two counts obstruction of an officer, interference with government property and terroristic threats.
Officers answered 82 calls for service including eight accidents, six alarms, one EMS assist, nine building security checks, three burglaries, two damage to property, three disturbances, three domestics, 15 escorts, four fights, two fraud, one harassment, one juvenile complaint, seven miscellaneous, one noise complaint, one sexual assault, one shoplifting, eight suspicious persons/vehicles, one theft, three traffic control, one welfare check and one 911 hang-up.
