To quote the late, great Lewis Grizzard, Saturday's Georgia-Georgia Tech football game is "our way of life against theirs."

Trojans smash Canes 55-20

The Lamar County Trojans traveled to Monticello and beat the Hurricanes 55-20 Friday night and will host a first round playoff game at Trojan Field next week.

Lamar will host McIntosh County Academy, the third seed from Region 2AA. MCA (6-4) lost 21-19 to Tattnall County (9-1) Friday night.

Trojan Friday night scoring:

11:52 1st quarter. Lamar 7, Monticello 0. Nick Heminger recovered fumble on opening kickoff and returned for TD. Tyler Scandrett PAT.
