Sauteed Greens and Mushrooms
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 pound mixed mushrooms
1 pound Swiss chard, stemmed and coarsely chopped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/2 lemon, juiced
2 tablespoons butter
A drizzle honey
Directions:
Heat the olive oil, 3 turns of the pan, in large skillet over medium-high heat. Coarsely chop mushrooms and add to the pan, toss for 2 to 3 minutes then add the greens to wilt. Season with salt and pepper. Dress greens with lemon juice then toss with butter as it melts to form a sauce. Drizzle a little honey over the greens and serve.

Saia memorial is Thursday in Zebulon
A memorial service for Joseph Saia, late chief public defender for the Griffin Judicial Circuit, will be held Thursday, December 30 at 11:30 a.m. at the Pike County courthouse.
Saia did considerable work in the Lamar County courthouse before abandoning a lucrative private practice to head up the public defenders' office.

Kevin Roy Pippin, 38, Culloden, aggravated battery, obstructing or hindering a 911 call, false imprisonment, two counts family violence battery, two counts terroristic threats and acts and aggravated assault;
Ernesto Lopez-Herrera, 33, Barnesville, DUI alcohol;
Brandon Chase Lynch, 19, Milner, obstruction of an officer;
Jeremy Michael Reeves, 35, Morgan, probation violation;
Jennifer Marie Medders, 28, Jackson, under investigation;

Because of a default in the payment of the indebtedness secured by a Security Deed executed by Donald E. Clark and Jennifer D. Clark to Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc. dated December 12, 2006, and recorded in Deed Book 606, Page 190, Lamar County Records, said Security Deed having been last sold, assigned, transferred and conveyed to HSBC Bank USA, National Association, as Trustee for NAAC 2007-2, by Assignment , securing a Note in the original principal amount of $97,500.00, the holder thereof pursuant to said Deed and Note thereby secured has declared the entire amount of said indebtedness due and payable and, pursuant to the power of sale contained in said Deed, will on the first Tuesday, January 4, 2011, during the legal hours of sale, before the Courthouse door in said County, sell at public outcry to the highest bidder for cash, the property described in said Deed, to-wit:

Clark by deed from Donald E. Clark recorded 12/13/2000 in Deed Book 313 Page 288, in the office of the clerk of the Superior Court of Lamar County, Georgia.
Said property is known as 301 Crane Road, Zebulon, GA 30295, together with all fixtures and personal property attached to and constituting a part of said property, if any.
Said property will be sold subject to any outstanding ad valorem taxes (including taxes which are a lien, whether or not now due and payable), the right of redemption of any taxing authority, any matters which might be disclosed by an accurate survey and inspection of the property, any assessments, liens, encumbrances, zoning ordinances, restrictions, covenants, and matters of record superior to the Security Deed first set out above.
The sale will be conducted subject (1) to confirmation that the sale is not prohibited under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and (2) to final confirmation and audit of the status of the loan with the holder of the security deed.
Notice has been given of intention to collect attorney's fees in accordance with the terms of the Note secured by said Deed.
Said property will be sold as the property of Donald E. Clark and Jennifer D. Clark, the property, to the best information, knowledge and belief of the undersigned, being presently in the possession of Donald E. Clark (Deceased), and the proceeds of said sale will be applied to the payment of said indebtedness and all the expenses of said sale, including attorney's fees, all as provided in said Deed, and the balance, if any, will be distributed as provided by law.
