Lamar County commissioners are looking at lowering some commercial fire and ambulance fee rates next year, but residential rates will likely remain at $50 for medical and ambulance services and $30 for the county fire department, a total of $80 for individual homeowners.

Between Saturday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Dec. 3, the Barnesville police department made five arrests:
Tomika Hall, 100 Ave. K, Thomaston, violation of license restrictions and leaving the scene of an accident;
Aundray Harris, 180 Midway Rd., Barnesville, DUI, fleeing and attempting to elude, reckless driving, driving while unlicensed and no tag;
Darryl Jones, 132 12th St., Barnesville, carrying a concealed weapon;
Marcus Marshall, 18101 Waldrup Cove, Decatur, theft by shoplifting;
Larisma Milner, 100 Longview Loop, Thomaston, giving false name to a law enforcement officer and allowing another to violate state law.
Officers answered 61 calls for service including three accidents, two alarms, one EMS assist, 14 building security checks, one burglary, two crowd control, two damage to property, one disturbance, three domestics, 14 escorts, two fights, one juvenile complaint, one loud music, five miscellaneous, one missing person, one robbery, one shoplifting, three suspicious persons/vehicles and three thefts. They issued 27 citations including one allowing another to violate state law, one defective equipment, one DUI, one driving while unlicensed, two expired tags, one failure to register vehicle, one failure to stop at stop sign, one fleeing and attempting to elude, one giving false name to law enforcement officer, one leaving the scene of an accident, one no license in person, one no tag, five seat belt violations, one shoplifting, six speeding, one reckless driving and one violation of license restrictions.

Cody Jonathan Smith, 19, Ellenwood, head light violation and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana;
Emmanuel Jamal Williams, 19, Atlanta, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana;
Andrew Ryan McCook, 19, Milner, disorderly conduct;
Christopher Lamar Sullivan, 21, Barnesville, probation violation;
Kazy Dej’on Akins, 19, Barnesville, carrying a concealed weapon and driving while license suspended or revoked;
William Ellis Crawford, 49, Griffin, criminal trespass, public drunkenness and giving false name and information to police;
Jonathan Bernard Singleton, 22, Forest Park, failure to appear.
Deputies answered 96 calls and 911 answered 70. Deputies responded to 26 calls, the Barnesville police department responded to 14, Lamar County fire department to 20, Barnesville fire department to two and Mid Georgia ambulance service responded to 41. Delilah Rae Ruth Lewis
Bradley and Marisa Lewis announce the birth of their daughter Delilah Rae Ruth Lewis at 5:03 p.m. Tuesday. Nov. 30.
She weighed 6 pounds, 6.8 ounces and was 191⁄4 inches long.
Grandparents are Jerry and Judy Henry of Barnesville.
