Man shot by security at Horton's Rendezvous
Authorities are not commenting but multiple eyewitnesses are reporting a man was shot by security guards at Horton"s Rendezvous Saturday night or early Sunday morning.
Bystanders identified the man as Anthony Scott of Thomaston. That also has not been confirmed. He is reportedly at the Medical Center of Central Georgia after having been lifeflighted from the nightclub.
Sheriff Larry Waller has issued a statement on the shooting. It reads as follows:

Officials are warning citizens of a Canadian check scam that has been reported in the area. Spalding County Sheriff Dee Stewart warns anyone who receives mail from Canada containing a letter and check from Sun Life Trust or Sun Life Financial Trust that it is part of a scam.
