Crime and Arrests

Between Saturday, Jan. 21, and Friday, Jan. 27, the Barnesville police department made five arrests:
Andrew McCook, 20, 143 Woodall Lane, Milner, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass;
Stephanie Williams, 45, 117 Hwy. 41 N., Barnesville, shoplifting;
Tommy Newman, 18, 1166 Hwy. 362, Williamson, possession of alcohol under age;
Wesley Avery, 23, 6123 Oakwood Cir., Covington, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and open container;
Cameron Robinson, 20, 7102 Green Acres Court, Covington, possession of alcohol under age.
Officers answered 107 calls for service including four fights, one shoplifting, one loud music, one prowler, three burglaries, five domestics, 29 foot patrols, 17 suspicious persons/vehicles, three speeding, seven accidents, one DUI, one escort, four alarms, one missing person, one harassing phone call and two improper parking. They issued 22 citations including one unauthorized minor driving, one violation of license restrictions, one no insurance, six speeding, one following too closely, one failure to stop at stop or yield sign, one improper equipment, two possession of alcohol under age, one open container, two shoplifting, one disorderly conduct, one contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one criminal trespass. Between Monday, Jan. 16, and Thursday, Jan. 19, the Lamar County sheriff’s office made two arrests:
Timothy Cagle, 50, Griffin, obstruction of an officer and disorderly conduct;
Deron Ben Williamson, 48, Barnesville, theft by taking.
Deputies answered 107 calls and the 911 center answered 43. Deputies responded to 14 calls, the Barnesville police department to five, Lamar County firefighters to seven, the Barnesville fire department to one and Mid Georgia Ambulance to 30. Between Saturday, Jan. 14 and Friday, Jan. 20, the Barnesville police department made four arrests:
Alvin Hughes, 57, 286 Mill St., Barnesville, simple battery;
Ronald Clements, 20, 2917 Meadowview Dr., Atlanta, obtaining or attempting to obtain dangerous drugs by fraud;
Vivian Wilkerson, 53, 183 Mill St., Barnesville, theft by taking;
Willie Jones, 60, 5 and a half 1st St., Barnesville, theft by taking.
Officers answered 96 calls for service including one fight, two thefts, one prowler, four domestics, 34 foot patrols, 12 suspicious persons/vehicles, five speeding, three accidents, three escorts, five alarms, one damage to property, one 911 hangup, two improper parking and one unwanted person. They issued 16 citations including 10 speeding, two failure to stop at stop or yield sign, one child safety seat violation, one simple battery, one criminal trespass and one no through trucks. Between Friday, Jan. 6, and Sunday, Jan. 15, the Lamar County sheriff’s office made the following arrests:
Yolanda Michelle Bartley, 25, Griffin, probation violation;
Rodriguez Sergio Vazquez, 34, Gainesville, driving without a license and speeding;
Chloe Elizabeth Mosley, 19, no address given, arrested for another agency;
Charles Anthony Furlow, 31, Barnesville, no charges listed;
Devante Montreal Lightner, 19, no address given, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana;
Africa Amaeca Davis, 33, Barnesville, probation violation;
Leonard Donald Watts, 39, Milner, probation violation;
Eric Alfonza Fletcher, 37, Barnesville, two charges theft by taking;
Zachery Stan Sorrells, 30, Milner, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness;
Mark William Goodman, 53, Griffin, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and failure to obey traffic control devices;
Jose de Jesus Guevara Rios, 22, Thomaston, no tail lights and driving without a license;
Emory Lyndon Bunn, 57, Barnesville, aggravated child molestation;
Terrell Amey, 23, Luthersville, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana;
Darrell Phinazee, 50, Zebulon, driving with license suspended or revoked and failure to maintain lane.
Deputies answered 225 calls and the 911 center answered 130. Deputies responded to 35 calls, the Barnesville police department to 39, Lamar County firefighters to 35, Barnesville fire department to three and Mid-Georgia Ambulance to 57. Zechariah Amey, 19, 121 Wortham Rd., Luthersville, possession of alcohol under age;
Kendale Brown, 21, 303 Roger Brawner Ave., Manchester, disorderly house;
Markeith Chrispen, 19, 1112 Victor St., Bainbridge, disorderly house;
Brian Sanders, 21, 1512 Donald Dr., Bainbridge, disorderly house;
Diane Gillespie, 55, 106 Owens Lane, Barnesville, disorderly conduct.
Officers answered 62 calls for service including one fight, one theft, one criminal trespass, three burglaries, three domestics, one armed robbery, 18 foot patrols, four suspicious persons/vehicles, six accidents, four escorts, three alarms, one harassing phone call and two school crossing duty. They issued 11 citations including two disorderly conduct, one no insurance, one failure to yield, one no brake lights or turn signals, one possession of alcohol under age, four disorderly house and one resisting or interfering with arrest.
