Jasmine Nabers of Farmington Hills,MI  is still missing and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is asking for the public's help in locating her. The child is believed to be in the Barnesville,GA area and may be in need of assistance.

As promised, after DeKalb County denied the move of Greenco’s controversial composting operation from Lamar County to a rock quarry there, Judge Tommy Wilson barred the company from operating here. The move came March 27 as Judge Wilson ordered it permanently shut down and padlocked as of 8 p.m. May 11. [Full Story »]

UPDATE: We are back up and running!

The City of Barnesville will have to cut power to The Herald-Gazette office for about 45 minutes at about 1:25 p.m. this afternoon to replace a bad transformer that is affecting other locations on Greenwood Street. Our phone system will not function during the outage. We will advise via this site when we are back up and running.
